Part 2-Fort Bragg

We drove out to Fort Bragg with Grandma and Grandpa for a weekend to go to a wedding.  Austin's first time and Braeden and Chloe's second although they don't really remember the first.  I don't know what it is about that place.  Maybe it's just the ocean, or the smell, or the memories from going there as a kid, but I love Fort Bragg!  When we got there on Friday it was rainy and cold, which is to be expected if you've ever been to the northern CA coast.  Braeden insisted on taking his shoes off and getting his feet wet, Chloe and Austin weren't too sure about it all.

When we woke up Saturday morning it was beautiful!  We woke up to sunny skies which is a miracle.  No fog so we headed out to the beach to find some sand and seashells.  It was a little better for Chloe and Austin.  Still took a while, but they managed to get their feet wet.
Braeden and Grandpa had a race.  We went to McKerricker state park, but with the road  washed away the sand isn't much fun so we had to find another spot.
This is were the fun began.  Austin started getting brave and getting wet, we built a sandcastle, found sea anemone's and muscles, and a few shells too.  The kids loved it and didn't want to leave, but we had a wedding to get too:)

The hotel we stayed in was called the Emerald Dolphin, Chloe and Austin called it the "bedroom"  which to them makes sense, that's really all a hotel room is.  They had a mini golf course on site so we had to test it out.

Austin fell asleep with Grandpa during the wedding and stayed that way even through the blaring music at the reception for a good 2 hours.  It was a great trip, with beautiful weather and Josh and Sandy couldn't have asked for a better setting to tie the knot!  Beautiful cliff overlooking the ocean.
